"The Mayans couldn't predict stupidity"

Films: 2012-Zombie Apocalypse (2011)

Alias: Various

Type: Mutant

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of average humans (when human, anyway).

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Centuries ago, the ancient lost Mayan civilization predicted that all things would come to an end once their special calendar ran out. The year they picked was 2012. But while a monstrous natural disaster-laden cataclysm didn't do us in, something else did. Namely, zombies!

History: The year is 2011, and someone's come into contact with the VM2 virus in France. Slowly, the rest of the world follows suite, and before we knew it, at least ninety percent of the populace is now ravenous zombies. There are survivors, but the ones in Catalina, California will have to fight to survive the incoming onslaught.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: The survivors manage to escape in somewhat one piece, but they end up having to fight against ZOMBIE TIGERS before the rescue ferry shows up.

Powers/Abilities: A bite spreads the plague.

Weakness: Headshots are a guarantee.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-At first, you have yourself a solid zombie affair. Bloodied living corpses, them coming at you in hordes, biting and eating, and so on. Then it almost all falls to pieces with the zombified big cats. They look horrifying, yes, but the CGI is a firm reminder that the Asylum is behind this film.

Trivia: -The VM2 virus is named after the first two initials of one of the writers fiances. We...are not going to look into that.

-Despite this being an apocalypse apparently, there are some scenes of cars going about like nothing's wrong. Early filmmaker survival tip: if an empty land is what you're going for do NOT do it near a busy road.
